Classroom Technology: Beyond Four Walls
Technology is no longer a “sore thumb” that stands out in a crowd. In fact, technology has become so emerged into our culture that it is seamlessly being used to create, design, communicate, collaborate, connect, and even teach! Mobile applications allow students to quickly locate resources for definitions, consumer reports, and even immediate live information about upcoming events. Technology has become so immersed into our lives and is now used efficiently by many people to interact. This has created one global community, with no limitations to time or space.
As our world evolves, so does the classroom. Literacy no longer deals with simply reading and writing. 21st Century literacy involves many aspects as reflected in the above diagram. The technology available for the classroom today allows students to create, produce, and collaborate as never before. This website is provided for you in hopes that you will take these resources and begin or continue on the road of 21st Century teaching.
