Voki allows users to create a talking voice character, with the use of a computer- generated character. This speaking avatar can speak in a variety of languages and voices that are pre-recorded. Users also have the option of calling and recording their voice using a phone. Voki offers a wide range of creative options for the creation of the avatar. Voki can be used to improve message comprehension. Students will become engaged as they are allowed to use writing in a creative way. By using text to speech technology, users only need to be able to type a message and in just a few clicks that have a talking avatar. 1. Sign-Up for free account
2. Create a new avatar
Click on the Create Tab to begin.
Customize your character
Customize your character using the higlighted areas. You can create avatars that have your features with a few clicks of the mouse.
3. Create a voice
There are four different options to add a voice to your avatar. You may call with your phone and record your voice, type your message and select a voice, record your voice with a microphone, or upload an audio file. These options allow all users to add voice to their avatar.
4. Change background
Change the background of your avatar by selecting backgrounds. The background should be appropriate for the content of the Voki.
5. Publish and share
Click on the Publish button. You will need to save the file in order to generate the avatar. Once it is published you will be given the embed code and other sharing options.
